A csónak...”</p> <p><b>Új lap</b></p><div>&lt;center&gt;Írta: [[Schildmayer Ferenc]]&lt;/center&gt;<br /> <br /> A hajóközlekedésbe 1889. július 7-én kapcsolódott be Almádi, addig csak csónakok jártak Almádi vizein. A csónakázás a szórakozás egyik formája volt, sportolási lehetőséget is jelentve. Ennek egy valószínűleg legkorábbi dokumentuma, Márton Antal ''Tekintetes Nemes Veszprém Vármegye jegyzőjének'' 1829. március 18-án kelt kérelme a ''Tekintetes Nemes Káptalanhoz''. A kérelemben ismerteti, hogy ''egy barátságos kis hajócskát mulatságomra építettem'', csak azt kéri, hogy ladikját a ''Balatonnak Almádi Pusztánál levő öblibe'' tarthassa, kijelentve, hogy ''egy talpalatnyi földet sem kívánok elfoglalni''. Márkus Antal egyébként almádi szőlőbirtokos volt, így a Káptalannak dézsmát fizetett, tehát szinte biztosra vehetjük, hogy megkapta az engedélyt.<br /> <br /> A Veszprém című hetilap 1881. június 12-i számában megjelent tudósítás szerint két csónakkal lett gazdagabb az Almádi Fürdő Részvénytársaság, egyiket Veszprém, a másikat Almádi névre keresztelték. A nagyobb, 20 személyeset egy órára egy forintért, a kisebb, 8-12 személyeset 50 krajcárért lehetett kibérelni. A Balaton első gőzőse a Kisfaludy, 1884. július 11-én először érkezett almádi vizekre, kikötő nem lévén a fürdőháztól kiküldött csónakokkal szállították partra a vendégeket. A 1888. pünkösdkor tartott idénynyitóról adott tudósítás élénk lendületként értékeli öt új csónak beállítását, de nem említi, hány csónak van Almádiban összesen.<br /> <br /> Az első csónakkikötő közvetlenül a Remete patak torkolatánál volt, amit a tudósítások és az 1900-as évek elején kiadott képes levelezőlapok tanúsítanak. A képeken a stéghez kikötött csónakok mellett, szabad vízen horgonyzó csónakok is láthatók. A következő csónakkikötő a hajókikötő északi oldalához csatlakozott és 1913-ban már létezett, mert a Balatoni Yacht Club 1913-ban alakult almádi osztályának kis „klubháza” ezen a kikötőn állt, mint ez képes levelezőlapokon látható.<br /> <br /> ==Forrás==<br /> <br /> [http://baujsag.almadiert.hu/ Új Almádi Újság] 2007.
